The Swiss-summer offers a lot. In every Canton there is something different to do. We’ve got our many lakes to go swimming. Or for the more adventures ones we have the rivers to go swimming. And of course we have our many mountains to go hiking. Every mountain has its own beauty. But if you are more the city type, you’re also in the right country. We have marvellous cities for your city-trip and in my opinion every city has its own charm. Let’s explore Switzerland:
Every spring we celebrate the usage “Sechseläuten” translated: six o’clock rings in the Canton Zürich. We always burn the “Böögg”, a snowmen filled with firecracker, in April at six o’clock. The burning of the “Böögg” symbolises dispel of the winter. The faster the “Böögg” burns down and the head falls apart, the better the coming summer is getting. This summer should be a sunny and nice summer, because the “Böögg” burnt down very fast with its 9:65 minutes.
Happy New Year to everyone! 2016 was a year full of emotions. We all had our ups and downs. And we’re all excited to see what happens next. It’s going to be a great year and we’re going to experience a lot of great and new things. I just started the year 2017 with an amazing adventure. I climbed the mountain uetliberg in the canton Zuerich. The view was spectacular: a sea of fog all over Zuerich. I always say: “The early bird catches the worm”. If you want to see this amazing view you have to bee there when the sun rises. And you have to be lucky with the weather because the fog has to be less then 800 meters above sea level because the mountain Uetliberg is 867 meters above sea level.
